We purchased this for our office after months of haggling about who would make the coffee and how strong it would be. Now we're all happy, and this little machine is worth every penny. You can make coffee exactly the way you want it. It lets you choose how much coffee you want, how strong you want it, and even lets you choose espresso or frothing if you want. You can also add two different types of coffee. It makes perfect coffee every time, and it's very low maintenance. We've had this machine for at least two years and it has never had any issues, even though it gets used about 10 times a day.

I didn't consider upgrading to an automatic espresso machine until I saw prices on Saeco's littler machine. I know that Jura-Capresso is a great espresso machine manufacturer but new machines were always cost-prohibitive. I used to grind my own beans and clean my espresso machine daily after brewing. Those days are gone with this dream machine. It brews a superb espresso and saves me hours of cleaning time. I can set it to whatever I choose to brew and walk away, knowing that it automatically stops brewing based on my settings. I've steamed and frothed milk and brewed tea with hot water from the E8. I love it and recommend it as often as I can.

My husband and I bought this reconditioned Jura from Amazon seven months ago, when it was available for free shipping. We bought it to replace a Saeco automatic machine that we had had for four years, but which gave out on us. We decided to switch brands since we had heard so many positive things about the Jura.
I had been worried about ordering a reconditioned machine, but it looked brand new when it arrived, and has worked perfectly since Day 1.
The Jura is wonderful, and creates amazing coffee. It is also easy to use, and is easier to clean than the Saeco model we had had. (I usually make caffe lattes everyday, and the foaming wand, for instance, is a breeze to clean on this Jura, whereas the milk always left a bad residue that was difficult to clean on our Saeco.) Also, when using superautomatic machines like this one, be sure to buy non-oily beans; any oiliness will clog the grinder. We had to switch from our Starbucks French Roast to Lavazza Super Crema.
The main reason that I am giving this four stars instead of five is because it requires more money for upkeep. The Clearyl filters that you need to purchase are pricey (around $22 each), and we've found that they need to be replaced about every two months. (We are the only two who use this machine, and we make, on average, about 30-35 shots of coffee a week, just to give you an idea.) The cleaning tablets also need to be ordered for this; you cannot use the regular coffee machine cleaners with your Jura.
Other than that, this is a wonderful machine! Highly recommended!

Capresso's Impressa E8 is equipped with all the necessary high-tech features for brewing superb espresso, cappuccino, lattes and long crema coffees in just 60 seconds. The powerful 1450-watt, 18-bar power pump has a ThermoBlock heating system that promises fast, continuous operation at home or business. The easy-to-read LED display (in seven languages) indicates brew strength from mild to normal to strong, and even displays the cup size while the machine is brewing as well as keeping count of how many drinks you have previously made. You can even select whether you want a standard or robust aroma. To use, select whether or not you want one cup or two then select the size of cup you have from one ounce to eight ounces (for two cups, the machine automatically makes double your selected one cup capacity).
